Episode 12: Destiny Demystified

Destiny is indeed a queer thing. At times we equate it with fate and still we know that it is something that is still a mystery. As a seeker moves further on in the spiritual journey of life, he starts to question his own destiny incessantly. Are the choices that he makes truly the factors that determine the scope of his life? Or is his life simply a charted streak of random occurrings that he can but experience and not alter? Whatever it may be, the true scope of his destiny always eludes a seeker. In today’s episode of the mysteries of life, we try to elucidate on what our destiny truly represents.

    It is equally true that, some Force drives our life toward a goal and its is equally true that we have some free will to act. How these both things act together in our lives. Its quallt ture that we all have to neutralized our past karma and not to start a new one.
    If things are predetermined, where in all these thing astrology stands?

    Astrology can simply give an indication of your fate; it can give you an understanding of how the events are truly lined up in your life; but you on your own accord have to power to change your destiny… be it for good or for bad… but rest assured change itself requires great will and determination and again change works both ways; for better and for worse; but in both situations you have to swim against the tide…:)

    Is it like that, for example, football match is destined to arrange on perticlur date and time. its is destined that you will play that match.
    How you play match, what effort you put in that is entirely upon the individual, its a free will. does that person goes ‘out of way’ or within rules he won that match, this all changes his future destiny and events lines up in future.
    Is it that destiny is changing always?

    can astrology be a guideline say to avoid pitfalls and help improve one’s karma in this birth or is everything destined to happen and we are merely players or puppets in the hand of destiny…the only thing i have learnt is that the prayers and ashirwards go a long way in protecting and safe keeping a person …faith in GOD is what acts like a lighthouse and to HIM

    How to use the things in present to shape the future. Are we really shaping our future or its due to our prarabdha karma and are the part of sanchita karma. Sometimes we land in such a situation where we are desperate the come out of it but you are not able to come out. So how you are taking care of present and if things are predecided then seating in sthitapragnya way is difficult to adapt. Kindly please share you thoughts.
